Ministry of Defense: Militants commit five ceasefire violations in eastern Ukraine

Russia-backed militants delivered five precision attacks in the ATO zone yesterday. They fired six 82-mm mortar rounds. “Ukrainian troops did not return fire,” reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Dmytro Hutsulyak at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

In Luhansk sector, Russian proxies delivered three precision attack against Ukrainian troops. The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Novhorodske between 10:30 and 11:30 using small arms. “At 17:00, Russia-backed militants attacked Ukrainian troops near Malynove with grenade launchers and small arms. At 19:00 the enemy shelled Ukrainian troops near Katerynivka with 82-mm mortars,” elaborated Col. Hutsulyak.

In Donetsk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops two times. At 01:00 Russian proxies started an hour-long attack on Ukrainian positions in Vodiane using heavy machine guns and small arms. Between 23:30 and midnight militants delivered another precision attack in Bohdanivka area using grenade launchers and 82-mm mortars.

Unfortunately, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action yesterday.
