Ukraine strikes satellite communications center in Moscow region

The Ukrainian military carried out a series of strikes against military targets inside Russia and in the occupied territory on Sunday and overnight on Monday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a post to social media.

Among the targets hit was the Dubna satellite communications ‌center in the Moscow region. The site was engulfed in massive smoke, the message reads.

Ukrainian troops also struck a drone pilot training ground near Debaltseve in Donetsk region and drone control posts near Myrnohrad and Perebudova in Donetsk region.

Other strikes included ones against command and observation posts near the village of Ilyok-Penkovka in Russia’s Belgorod region and near Pokrovsk in the occupied part of Donetsk region.

Ukraine’s defense forces also hit a road bridge near Vasylivka in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region. Russia was using the bridge to transport and supply its troops.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also detailed the results of an attack on the Kavkaz port in Russia’s Krasnodar region on Sunday. The strike damaged the port’s infrastructure and two car ferries. The sites were used to supply the Russian army in Ukraine’s southern regions, the statement said.

The Russian authorities reported a new drone attack on Moscow overnight on Monday. The city’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin said the air defenses shot down more than 80 drones on approaches to the capital. More than 360 flights were cancelled or delayed in Moscow’s airports, Ukrainian new sites said.

Ukraine hits Tavriyska thermal power plant, other targets in Crimea

Ukraine carried out a series of drone attacks against targets in occupied Crimea overnight on Monday, Ukrainian news sites said, citing Telegram channel Krymskyi Veter (Crimean Wind). Eyewitness accounts described hearing explosions and air defenses at work. The Tavriyska thermal power plant, the building of the border guard service of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Armyansk and fuel bases in Feodosiya were among the targets.

Fires were recorded in an area between two fuel bases in Feodosiya, Krymsyi Veter said.

Satellite data showed warm anomalies at the former 13th military base. A fuel base of the Atan network of gas stations is located 400 meters to the southwest from the spot. The Feodosiya fuel base sits 500 meters to the northeast from the site.

Satellite data also showed sources of fire at the building of the border guard service of Russia’s FSB in Armyansk.

Local residents said power was cut off in Feodosiya after an explosion.

The peninsula’s Russian-installed administration did not comment on the results of the attack.

Earlier reports said power cuts and rolling outages were introduced in Crimea after a drone attack on the peninsula overnight on Sunday.

Russian authorities said power lines were damaged, causing massive power cuts in three areas in the north-west, center and south, The New Voice of Ukraine said.

A massive fire erupted at a fuel terminal at the sea fish port in Kerch after a drone attack overnight on Sunday. Russia-installed Crimean authorities halted sales of fuel at gas stations.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine later said that the Ukrainian military struck an oil terminal in Kerch and the Kavkaz port in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight on Sunday. They also hit the Tumen oil refinery on Saturday, 2,000 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Major Robert Brovdi who goes by the call sign Magyar posted a video to social media on Sunday, showing the moments of strikes against an oil depot of the Kerch oil terminal. He also apologized to the Ukrainians in the occupied territory for “constant anxiety, closed bridges and highways, darkness, absence of silence and stress.” He also advised them to “stay away from military sites and all things flammable.”

Ukrainian strike hits missile parts plant in Voronezh

A Ukrainian missile strike hit the Sborka semiconductor plant in Russia’s Voronezh on Monday, Ukrainian news sites said.

Videos posted to social media showed a massive fire and large smoke plume at the factory.

The plant is part of Russia’s defense industrial base, Ukrainian Telegram channels said.

Telegram channel Exilenova+ said the plant produces Pantsir surface-to-air missile system and parts for Iskander-K and Kh-101 missiles.

Neither Ukraine, nor Russia has issued official comments on the incident.
