Ukrainian drones hit multiple warehouses of Russia’s Wildberries online retailer
Ukrainian drones attacked warehouses belonging to Russia’s Wildberries online retailer in the city of Kotovsk, in the Tambov region, and in the city of Elektrostal, in the Moscow region on Saturday, reports on Russian social media showed. The strikes caused large fires.
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyi indirectly confirmed the strikes, saying in a post to X on Saturday that “two major logistics facilities were hit — in the Moscow and Tambov regions, more than 500 and nearly 700 kilometers from the front line.” He also said the structures were used “to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment” and that the attacks came “in response to Russian strikes on our civilian infrastructure and on our cities and communities.”
On Monday, drones struck a Wildberries logistics center in the city of Podolsk, in Moscow region, Russia’s Astra Telegram channel said. The attack caused a large fire. A separate strike hit an oil depot on the outskirts of Podolsk that same day, igniting a fire.
According to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, another fire erupted on Monday at the Yuzhnye Vrata industry park in the city of Domodedovo outside Moscow.
Yuzhnye Vrata is controlled by a fund connected to Sergei Roldugin, a cellist and one of Vladimir Putin’s closest friends, according to Agentstvo, a Russian media outlet. It houses a facility owned by Wildberries.
The industry park is operated by the Instone Development company, Agentstvo also said. It bought the facility from the Czech investment group, PPF Real Estate that sold its assets in Russia following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Since early 2026, ownership of Instone Development passed to Roldugin’s Talent and Success foundation. The foundation owns 84 per cent of the company, with 11 more per cent of shares owned by the Tsinteks company that is also overseen by Talent and Success, Agentstvo said. Putin chairs the foundation’s board of trustees.
Russian missile strike on foreign cargo ship off Odesa coast kills 10
A Russian missile strike on a cargo ship flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau off the coast of Odesa on Sunday killed 10 people, including a Ukrainian maritime pilot, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority said in a statement on Monday.
“The search and rescue operation lasted all night. The fire on the ship was localized. Eight crew members were rescued and brought ashore. Unfortunately, 10 people including the pilot of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, were killed,” the agency said.
The vessel loaded with corn was leaving the port of Odesa as the strike happened. On board were 17 crew members — citizens of Syria and India — as well as a local Ukrainian pilot of the Delta-Lotsman branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, it said.
Russia struck the Golden Leo dry cargo ship, using three Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missiles, the Ukrainian Navy said Sunday.
Russia drops glide bomb on Pavlohrad for first time, killing two
Russia dropped a glide bomb on the city of Pavlohrad, in the region of Dnipro, on Monday morning, for the first time in the war, killing two people and injuring 16 others, head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha said. Three people remain in hospital in fair condition. Children, ages one and three, are among the injured. The strike damaged multi-story apartment buildings and cars.
“The enemy is modernizing these bombs so that they can reach further,” head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, Mykola Lukashuk said in a post to social media Monday, warning the residents of a new threat.
“Unfortunately, it is a new reality for Pavlohrad. So I ask the city’s residents not to ignore air raid alerts. Follow the updates by the [Ukrainian] Air Force and social media that monitor air threats,” he said.
