As of the morning of April 27, more than 610 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation – 217 children were killed, and 393 received injuries of varying severity.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported this.
Children suffered the most in regions such as Donetsk – 129, Kyiv – 114, Kharkiv – 93, Chernihiv – 66, Kherson – 44, Mykolaiv – 43, Luhansk – 37, Zaporizhzhia – 27, Sumy – 17, the capital – 16, and Zhytomyr – 15.
These data are not conclusive, as inspection of sites of active hostilities and liberated settlements and receiving information on the temporarily occupied territories are underway.
In Mariupol, Donetsk region, two children aged 9 and 8 were wounded on March 20 and 23 as a result of shelling by the aggressor’s troops. The occupiers took them to Russia. So far, children have been returned to Ukraine and are being treated at the Okhmatdyt National Medical Center in Kyiv.
1508 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling of the Russian armed forces, 102 of them were destroyed.
