Kyiv, July 25, 2014 – The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings against the leader of the Russian Communist party Gennadiy Ziuganov and the leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovskiy. This was reported by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Zoryan Shkiryak at his briefing in Ukraine Crisis Media Center. “The Main Investigation Headquarters of the Ukrainian MIA opened criminal cases regarding Russian citizens Gennadiy Ziuganov and Vladimir Zhirinovskiy. They are accused of financing action aimed to alter the limits of the territories and national border of Ukraine. Such actions are punishable by a jail sentence of 10 years,” emphasized the Minister’s Advisor.

According to Zoryan Shkiryak, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has evidence that the actions of the Russian officials were coordinated with the representatives of the Communist party of Ukraine. “Investigations of CPU activity are underway,” he added.

In response to the journalists’ questions, Zoryan Shkiryak confirmed that Vladimir Putin gave the order to «eliminate» the pro-Russian leaders Igor Bezler (Bes), Igor Strelkov-Girkin and Valeriy Bolotov. “They are direct participants and co-organizers of crimes against humanity, in particular the recent terrorist act near Torez, when they shot down the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777. There is evidence that this crime was committed by mercenaries and coordinated by Russian air defense specialists. They are direct witnesses to Putin’s involvement in the international terrorist act, and therefore constitute a big threat to him,” noted the Minister’s Advisor. According to Zoryan Shkiryak, there are two options to execute these orders: by means of special FSB groups or by recruiting assassins from the terrorists’ inner circle. “Ukrainian side will do everything possible to have a head start on Putin and solve the issue of Russian terrorists ourselves,” stated Mr. Shkiryak.
