Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Crimean Tatar leader, Ukrainian MP Mustafa Jemilev his representative on Crimean Tatar affairs. “To stipulate that the powers of the President of Ukraine to ensure the observance of constitutional rights of the Crimean Tatar people as an indigenous people of Ukraine are delegated to the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people,”- reads the decree № 657/2014.

At least 415.8 thousands refugees from Donets and Luhansk regions left their homes trying to escape from military actions between ATO forces and armed terrorists from LPR and DPR, Senior Communications Officer at the United Nations refugee agency said, DW reports. The UNHCR reported nearly 198 thousand Ukrainians have fled to Russia. Besides, in Poland, the number of Ukrainian refugees has reached 14,600 and 13,800 in Belarus.

19 people had been detained by the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson in 1-18 August period. They are suspected in cooperation with terrorists, the head of Kherson regional state administration Yuriy Odarchenko informs, Ukrainian news agency quotes as saying. “Special forces of SBU and Genichinsk police service were cooperating to detect criminals and terrorists who could plan counter work on the region’s territory,” he said.

Kharkiv district administrative court following the lawsuit of Kharkiv prosecution has banned work of non-government organization “South-east civic movement.” “The work of this organization imposes a danger to Ukraine’s integrity and security of its people. All meetings of this organization were analyzed. A philological analyses of their leaders’ speeches and public performances has been done. Results show participants of this civic movement have numerously called for illegal seizure of state power, agitated for breaching sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Kharkiv prosecutor Yevheniy Popovych told.
