Russia’s ruling United Russia party is winning more than 70% of votes at Crimean Parliament elections, according to exit poll results announced on Sunday after polling stations were closed. Along with United Russia, according to exit polls, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) and Communist Party (CPRF) are also winning seats in the State Council. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution on the accommodation of refugees from Ukraine on the territory of Russia. The resolution aims to promote better organization of the accommodation of refugees from Ukraine and their distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation. Regions which had their refugee accommodation resource used up, including Crimea, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Leningrad, Moscow and Rostov regions and the cities Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol, were instructed to recommend newly arriving refugees to move to other regions of the Russian Federation.

Zaporizhzhya city mayor Aleksandr Sin after “a peace march” attacked one of the activists who had shouted “Disgrace!” addressing it to Aleksandr Sin. The incident took place when Zaporizhzhya city mayor was delivering his speech, while one of the activists were showing he did not like what Aleksandr Sin was talking about. When Sin had finished his speech, he attacked the activist. Governor’s bodyguards stopped the scuffle. It worth mentioning, activists after what had happened told he would appeal to the police against “crazy mayor”.

President Petro Poroshenko has changed the head of Zakarpattia regional state administration. As his press service informed, Poroshenko dismissed head of Zakarpattia regional state administration Valeriy Lunchenko and appointed Vasyl Gubal the interim head instead. The respective decrees of September 15 have been published on the Head of State Website.
