Radiation exposure in Russian army positions near Chornobyl: Greenpeace presents results of several days of sampling in Ukraine

At the press conference members of the Greenpeace team will present their initial results and discuss the implications for nuclear safety resulting from the Russian war on Ukraine.

With the approval and cooperation of SAUEZM and the Ukrainian government, Greenpeace Germany has just completed an international investigation inside the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The purpose of the mission was to document the impact of the Russian military occupation and to assess the radiological conditions. Specifically, the survey team has collected soil samples and conducted UAV (drone) radiation measurements in the areas where Russian soldiers operated.
