The Year of Resilience: How has Ukraine Withstood, What is Ahead?

On February 28, at 10:45 a.m., Ukraine Crisis Media Center (Kyiv, 2 Khreshchatyk St.) will host an open discussion on the topic: “The Year of Resilience: How Ukraine has Withstood, What is Ahead?”

Organizer: National Platform of Sustainability and Cohesion.

Main issues for discussion:

  • What has the war changed and what is it changing in the defense and security spheres?
  • Ukrainian economy: from adaptation to recovery and development;
  • The phenomenon of Ukrainian self-organization: how to preserve the society and state synergy?
  • Regional dimension of resilience – solidarity and cooperation of the regions of Ukraine;
  • Social cohesion and national unity – how have Ukrainians and Ukraine changed?
  • Information space: between security and freedom of speech.

  • Andriy Zahorodniuk, Chairman of the Board at the Center for Defense Strategies, ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine (2019-2020);
  • Yaroslav Zhalilo, Deputy Director at the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Doctor of Economic Sciences;
  • Yulia Tyshchenko, Co-founder of the National Platform for Sustainability and Cohesion;
  • Dmytro Teperik, Director of the Estonian-Ukrainian program “Resilient Ukraine”;
  • Oleh Saakian, political scientist, Co-founder of the National Platform for Sustainability and Cohesion;
  • Yulia Bidenko, sociologist, Candidate of Political Sciences, coordinator of the National Platform in Kharkiv;
  • Dmytro Zolotukhin, Head of Information Monitoring and Intelligence at the Institute of Information Security, ex-Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine (2017-2019);

The National Platform for Sustainability and Cohesion  was launched in February 2018. Our strategic priorities are the sustainability of the state and society, cohesion and unity. During its activity, the National Platform for Sustainability and Cohesion held more than 70 public events at the national, regional and local levels and attracted leading international experts on peacebuilding, transitional justice, informational reintegration, social cohesion and national unity.
