More than 1700 children orphaned by full-scale invasion

As of February 2024, 1,759 children were orphaned by Russia’s full-scale invasion. This was stated by the Head of the National Social Service Vasyl Lutsyk.

685 children received the status of “deprived of parental care” because their parents remained in the occupied territories. Another 12 children are temporarily deprived of parental care because their parents are in captivity.
