This week, Russian disinformators focused their efforts on undermining trust in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, exploiting two events for this purpose:
- the President’s visit to frontline Bakhmut, which the Kremlin agents portrayed as an “information operation of Ukrainian propaganda”;
- Zelenskyi’s trip to the USA was framed as the President fleeing Ukraine and its people with no intention to come back.
Russian propaganda does not get tired of attempts to discredit the political leadership of Ukraine, however, with no use, as Ukrainians remain united in quite the opposite: 82% of Ukrainians trust the President, according to Oct 28’s survey results by Razumkov Center, a Ukrainian non-governmental think tank.
