NOTD – Ukraine set to get 6 more TRML-4D Radar stations used for IRIS-T

The German company Hensoldt is set to provide an additional 6 TRML-4D radar stations, specially tailored for the IRIS-T air defense system, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

These advanced radars, unveiled in 2018, boast cutting-edge capabilities. They can effectively identify and track 1,500 airborne targets within a range spanning 10 meters to 250 kilometers, while also excelling at detecting objects like helicopters or low-flying cruise missiles.

Notably, these radars can discern targets at altitudes of up to 30 kilometers. The procurement of these radar stations amounts to a total investment of 100 million euros. Presently, Ukraine possesses 4 such stations in its inventory.
