New Holodomor in Ukraine?

Russians export tons of grain from the temporarily occupied territories. The occupiers exported a total of about 400,000 tons of grain from the four temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories – a third of all reserves in these regions.

This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi. According to him, the occupiers behave as in the early 20th century and physically steal food.

“We already have confirmation from each region – Zaporizhzhia region, Kherson region, Donetsk, Luhansk – about 100 thousand tons were exported from each,” he said.

Vysotskyi also noted that if this continues and not only stocks are exported, but what is left in the regions for food before the new harvest, there may be a threat of famine.

In addition, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai stressed that the Russians had removed or destroyed grain from the region, which could meet the needs of local residents for almost 3 years. And this is the only information that could be verified. The real loss of food is still unknown. Another 30,000 tons were stored in the elevator destroyed in April in Rubizhne.
