The press officer of Kherson, Dmytro Pletenchuk, said that there are currently about 60,000 people in the city, which is 20% of Kherson’s population.
100,000 people left during the occupation, and the rest left after the Russian mass shelling began after the liberation of the city, according to Pletenchuk. Mostly representatives of vulnerable groups who cannot afford to evacuate, or very patriotic people, are among those who stayed.
