More than seven million Ukrainian went abroad due to the Russian large-scale invasion of Ukraine; this is 20% of the country’s population, Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported on December 14.
“4,900,000 citizens became internally displaced persons within our country, 30% of these are pensioners and persons with disabilities. Effectively every second family has one or more children,” Lubinets added.
