The Red Cross has yet again proven ineffective and even harmful in countering the humanitarian disaster caused by the Russian war against Ukraine as we see from yesterday’s meeting of the organization’s president with PM of the aggressor state Lavrov.
What is more, Red Cross is legitimizing the Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories and the illegal deportation of Ukrainians to Russia by plans to open an office of ICRC in Rostov-on-Don.
Considering this, we encourage the international community to avoid donating to the Red Cross and instead support Ukrainian grassroots organizations that have proved to more effectively provide help to Ukrainians in these hard times.
