TV channel “Zvezda” that belongs to the Russian ministry of Defense is spreading disinformation about Ukraine allegedly sending “200 trained extremists” to destabilize Belarus.
This is especially jarring after reports of Russian “journalists” sent to work on Belarusian TV to replace local media personnel on strike and numerous other examples of Russia interfering with anti-Lukashenka protests.
It seems that Kremlin favorite tactic of “do something, deny it and blame other countries for doing that exact thing while presenting no evidence” is at play again.
