Russian occupiers seize and destroy Ukrainian literature and history textbooks
This is the literature that does not coincide with the line of Kremlin propaganda. According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, occupiers involve units of the “military police.”
▫️Claimed “extremist” literature includes school textbooks on the history of Ukraine, scientific and popular historical literature, particularly books on the history of democratic revolutions in Ukraine, also known as Ukrainian Maidans.
▫️Occupiers also compiled a list of forbidden to be mentioned names. Among those are outstanding figures in the history of Ukraine – Ivan Mazepa, Symon Petliura, Stepan Bandera, Roman Shukhevych, Viacheslav Chornovil.
▫️In the cities of Kreminna, Rubizhne, and Horodnia, there are cases of exemption of “The Case of Vasyl Stus” by Vakhtang Kipiani.
The book on the life of a prominent Ukrainian poet and protestor to Russian Soviet oppression, who was banned and consequently removed by the Soviet regime.
