Luhansk region
According to Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the Russians inflicted a heavy and long-lasting artillery strike on Lysychansk on May 25.
The enemy tried to storm Ukrainian defenses near Ustynivka and at the same time destroyed this village and the nearby town of Lysychansk with artillery. As a result, two died in Ustynivka and one in Lysychansk itself. A shell hit the humanitarian aid center, and a volunteer car delivering food to Luhansk region was damaged.
Among the destructions were 11 high-rise buildings and the Impulse building in Severodonetsk, eight high-rise buildings and private houses, a house of culture and administrative center in Lysychansk, four houses in Pryvillia, and two each in Novodruzhesk and Hirske.
These are all cities of different sizes and with different populations. In villages and settlements, the damage to the housing stock is many times greater. Severodonetsk and Novozvanivka withstood several air strikes last night. Now the enemy is trying to gain a foothold in the area of Severodonetsk.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 323 civilians have been killed in shelling and bombing in the Luhansk region.
Donetsk region
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on May 25, the Russians killed four more civilians in the Donetsk region: 2 in Lyman, 1 in Sydorove, and 1 in Berestove. Another 12 people were injured.
It is currently impossible to determine the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha. Excluding the casualties in these cities, the Russians killed 431 civilians in Donetsk region, 1168 were wounded.
“The Russian occupiers are turning our towns and villages into ruins and fires. That’s what Marinka looks like now. Burns, but holds. Russia will pay for each of its crimes,” Pavlo Kyrylenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Marinka community is one of the worst affected by the Russian invasion.
