Captured North Korean soldiers reveal shocking truths about Russia’s war

For the first time since Ukrainian intelligence reported that 12,000 North Korean troops had arrived in the Kursk region in October 2024, two North Korean soldiers have been captured by Ukrainian forces. The captives sustained severe injuries and were evacuated to receive medical assistance and undergo an investigation process.

North Korean troops often take part in artillery strikes, infantry tactics, and frontal assaults. As of now, according to South Korea’s National Intelligence Service, out of 12,000 soldiers, at least 300 were killed and 2,700 were wounded.

The capture of two North Korean soldiers became final proof of Russia’s alignment with North Korean forces, setting a dangerous precedent of authoritarian regimes working together. It demonstrated that the Russian-Ukrainian war had long become a global clash between authoritarian regimes and democratic nations.
