How Russia kills Ukrainian sport

Since the start of the Russian invasion, Ukrainian sport has been going through hard times. Some of the athletes lost their homes or their lives during the Russian bombings. Some of them also lost training grounds as well as the opportunity to train properly for the forthcoming competitions.

Many Ukrainian athletes now defend their country in the ranks of Ukrainian Armed Forces or started doing volunteer work. Moscow aims to destroy Ukrainian sport as well as culture, history and the whole nation with its identity and memory.

However, despite the constant threats and realities of war, Ukrainian athletes remain unbreakable and keep fighting, keep training and keep winning medals and first prizes in international competitions. Ukraine will prevail – and so will Ukrainian sport!
