For over eight months, Russia has been waging a neo-colonial war against Ukraine, and theories have already been developed about how it may end. The fairest one is the involving complete victory of Ukraine and international condemnation of the Russian regime and punishment for Russian war criminals.
While the whole free democratic world stands for Ukraine, Russia may rely only on the support of dictatorial regimes. So there is also another theory of Ukrainian victory involving not the complete destruction of the enemy but a cumulative effect of a continuous fight on the front, international sanctions, troubled logistics, and general demoralization.
Both of the scenarios may also imply armed conflicts among various military groups within Russia and, as a result, a collapse of the empire in its current form. This may lead to an internal war initiated by state-owned military organizations and a total change of the very concept of Russia as a neo-colonial state.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
