Documenting war crimes during Russia’s aggression in Ukraine

Russia’s war of annihilation against Ukraine is built on war crimes committed by Russian Army – and all of them should be recorded and investigated. The whole world should know the real face of Russia’s anti-civilization, and its regime should be internationally condemned.

For now, the number of crimes exceeds thousands, and it increases every day so no public organization or even government structure can engage and manage them all. The initiative “Tribunal for Putin” became an important stage to coordinate the efforts and do everything possible to bring war criminals to justice in the future.

The initiative’s name is rather symbolic since the Russian president is not the only one responsible for the crimes of the Russian army. Its objective is to reveal the faces of collective Putin – all those who participated in erasing the Ukrainian nation and identity. All of them must be held accountable and involved in compensation.

Meet the people documenting potential war crimes committed by Russia: head of the documentation department of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union Serhiy Movchan, documenter for the T4P Initiative from the Center of Civil Liberties Sviatoslav Ruban, lawyer Yuriy Bilous, and volunteer documenters Ghanna Mamonova and Alina Matviychuk.
