This year, Ukraine commemorates the ninth anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, a historical event that became a turning point in the concept of modern Ukraine and influenced not only our country but the whole world. Ukrainians as a nation made their civilizational choice to break out of Russia’s sphere of influence and go their own way.
Started by young people, mostly students, EuroMaidan inspired the whole country to fight not only for Eurointegration and Euro-Atlantic political course but also for freedom, and historical and cultural memory. And this is how Euromaidan turned into a Revolution of Dignity and became an example of the struggle for free choice, independence, and democracy for the whole world.
This year, the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity is even more symbolic, being a metaphor for the triumph of light over darkness and reminding us that Ukraine will prevail against all odds.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
