Kharkiv region: life after de-occupation

Russian occupation leaves behind only destruction and scorched earth. After the occupation of the Kharkiv region in September 2022, the whole world observed the footprints of the “Russian world”, such as destroyed houses, burned Russian equipment, mined field, and mass graves.

However, only after the horrors of occupation, Ukrainians do not want to leave their land. They try to rebuild their damaged homes and get back to “normal life”, united and stronger together.

With the damaged infrastructure, under the constant threat of the aggressor’s fire, locals and volunteers do everything possible to restore life in the region. As the demining and de-russification processes continue, the tendency for improving and increasing some basic social benefits continues.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
