Regional journalists reflect on a year of the full scale war

Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine ruined the lives of millions of Ukrainians. Families torn apart, friends and relatives lost, homes destroyed: this is how life in Ukraine looks like.

Living under constant threat of missile attacks or artillery strikes, many Ukrainians stopped making plans and started living a day. Some of them survived the horrors of Russian occupation and others sheltered those who were forced to flee their homes.

In every region of Ukraine, people have different experiences — but all of them fit together into a single picture of war. Ukrainian journalists from different parts of Ukraine are the ones who document these experiences. Now, they share their reflections on the war.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
