Lithuania is fighting side by side with Ukraine

Since the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Lithuania has accepted over 60,000 Ukrainian refugees. This number is rather impressive for a country with 2,8 million population.

While Ukraine faces a war for its freedom and sovereignty, Baltic states remain under a constant hybrid threat from the aggressor state. As a country that survived the traumatic experience of soviet occupation, Lithuania demonstrates solidarity towards Ukraine fighting for the future of the free world.

Now, the country supports Ukraine both with humanitarian aid and by welcoming and integrating Ukrainian refugees. Lithuania remains a reliable Ukrainian ally — and, what is not less important, realizes the seriousness of the Russian threat to the entire democratic world.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
