The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has led to a massive humanitarian crisis, leaving millions of civilians displaced and in need of resettlement. Women and children make up most displaced persons, making integration and resettlement processes particularly difficult.
Civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, was severely damaged, further complicating the resettlement process. Unprovoked Russian aggression caused not only damage to Ukraine but also created a more significant burden on the economy of European countries that accepted Ukrainian immigrants.
However, Moscow continues to use the narrative about the ungratefulness of the Ukrainian people abroad, which increases the tension between Ukraine and the recipient countries, which only deepens the migration crisis.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
