Ukraine’s European Integration: State and Public Efforts

The Ukrainian government has made substantial efforts, even in the full-scale war with Russia, to align its policies and regulations with those of the European Union (EU), aiming to meet the necessary criteria for EU membership. This has involved reforms in various sectors, including the judiciary, economy, and governance, to ensure compatibility with EU standards.

The Ukrainian government continue implementing legislative changes and institutional reforms to strengthen the rule of law, combat corruption, and improve the business climate. These efforts are vital for enhancing Ukraine’s competitiveness and fostering a more transparent and accountable governance system.

Civil society organisations, advocacy groups, and ordinary citizens actively promote European values and advocate for reforms. In a lot of cases, the non-governmental organisation helps policymakers with the common goal of Ukraine’s membership in the EU.
