Among the 86 military released from Russian captivity were women who had been subjected to torture and ill-treatment in captivity.

According to her, the women were taken to Belarus and then to a pre-trial detention center in Bryansk, Russia, where the women were tortured and threatened.

“Female prisoners were stripped naked in the presence of men, forced to squat, had their hair cut and constantly interrogated, trying to break them morally. Some of the women prisoners were forced to take part in filming propaganda, they were demanded to speak Russian language,” — she said.

Such actions by the Russian Federation are a violation of the Geneva Convention.
