UN reports 8231 civil deaths in Ukraine since February 2022

UN Human Rights Office reports 21,965 civil casualties in Ukraine because of the Russian invasion. 3,664 men, 2,173 women, 260 boys, and 203 girls deaths confirmed, while the gender of 31 children and 1,900 adults has to be determined.

“OHCHR believes that the actual number of civilian deaths or injuries is significantly higher, as many reports from places where such incidents have occurred in the past still require further confirmation. While information from currently fighting zones is delayed,” the UN document reads.
