UN confirms deaths of over 9,000 people in Ukraine

The UN has confirmed 9,083 people killed in Ukraine and 15,779 wounded since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. This is stated in the UN report for 19 June.

Most people were killed or injured on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights is conducting the calculations. We emphasise that the actual numbers are much higher as intense hostilities continue.
