We should compliment each other more. We have a lot of good things to say about each other. Instead, we’re looking for something bad and bringing it to the information space, not concentrating on what we need.”

Yevhen Magda, Political Expert

Magda told how, despite the recent diplomatic punches between the two countries, Ukraine, when having the chance, did not seize the opportunity to turn the page in relations. Therefore, to do so, prominent Ukrainian military personnel, a military delegation of some kind, was sent to the celebration of the Day of the Polish Army, but unfortunately, to no avail.

“I understand that a country’s level of representation at such events is a military attaché. But, when it comes to a special partnership and its one-of-a-kind nature, we need to go above and beyond that. The Polish Army’s anniversary is inextricably linked to the Battle of Warsaw, in which Poland was able to halt the Red Army’s advance and turn the war around – its not a staged event!”
