The announcement of the so-called “partial mobilization” in Russia, which in fact will affect far more than the initially announced 300,000 reservists, has already caused a series of anti-mobilization protests around Russia and panic among men who are fleeing army duty to the countries that can still be entered without visas.
These are just a few problems that the mobilization of Russians was bound to face, announced amid the successes of Ukraine’s counteroffensive and the hastily held sham referendums on “joining Russia” in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
