On April 28, 2022, the Russian military carried out an artillery attack with prohibited cluster munitions on the village of Velyka Kostromka, Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk region. A resident was killed in the shelling.
This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Residential buildings were partially destroyed. There are no military facilities in the area.
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office initiated criminal proceedings for violating the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
