Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 4,228 uses of ammunition equipped with hazardous chemicals have been recorded by the Russian Federation since 24 February 2022. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, along with conventional firepower, the Russian army uses ammunition filled with hazardous chemicals that are prohibited for use as weapons of war.
