Shot journalist, ambulance and apartment building shelling: Russian war crimes in Ukraine

Civilian journalist shot down, a wounded soldier and ambulance driver burnt alive, destiny of the residents from a destroyed building in Kharkiv unknown.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venedictova informed about these horrendous war crimes against humanity committed by the occupants.

“Anyone committing the heaviest crimes against peaceful citizens will not avoid responsibility. Prosecution and law enforcement bodies keep documenting and investigating war crimes committed by the armed forces of the Russian Federation” – the prosecutor insists.

She said that on February 26 the Russian invaders shelled the ambulance car on the UKRNIOS highway in Kherson region, while it was transporting the wounded. Ambulance driver, 64 y.o., and a wounded soldier were burned alive, while one of the wounded received a gun-shot injury.

This was recorded in the Uniform registry of the pretrial investigations in compliance with p.2 of 438 article of the penal code of Ukraine. Video below likely demonstrates the footage of this shelling. Our apologies for the explicit language in the video.

Close to the village of Zelenivka in Kherson Shakirov Dilerbek Shukurovich was shot with automatic firearm out of the car. He was a civilian journalist, an author of a weekly informational bulletin “Around you” and a member of  the “House of Hope” charity.

This was recorded in the Uniform registry of the pretrial investigations in compliance with p.2 of 438 article of the penal code of Ukraine.
