For many years, Russian propaganda has been trying to target countries that were previously under the influence of the Soviet Union. One of these countries is Bulgaria, an essential ally of Ukraine in the war against Russian aggression.
Many tools have influenced Bulgaria’s information space. Among them are bribing local politicians, paying for articles in the Bulgarian media, and creating disinformation campaigns in many areas.
Opposition to Russian propaganda in Ukraine’s partner countries plays a significant role in continuing to support Ukraine. That is why it is crucial to understand what Russian attacks can be aimed at, such as resorting to preventive actions and ultimately only strengthening friendly relations with countries such as Bulgaria.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
