Record-hitting Shahed Drone usage on Ukraine, October

In October Russia was set on beating its own record in drone attacks. Over 2000 UAVs were launched to terrorize civilian homes and infrastructure. Ukrainian defense has taken measures to counter the attacks, implementing new techniques and constantly working to improve the existing instruments of countering the threat. However, the Russian military are modernizing and cheapening drone production, making it easier for them to create swarms of drones that stretch Ukrainian air defenses thin.

With this new strategy, Russia aims not only to hit as many infrastructure targets as possible, but also to instill terror among civilian people and worsen the war fatigue Ukrainians are experiencing.
