Approximately 7.7 million Ukrainian citizens are currently living abroad. Of these, 5.3 million, or 69%, are in the European Union. There are about 880,000 Ukrainians in the United States, about 408,000 in Canada, and about 200,000 in the United Kingdom. This data was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the number of Ukrainians in Russia is unknown due to the lack of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Russia.
