Ministry of Defense: Six ceasefire violations recorded in eastern Ukraine

Russia-backed militants committed six ceasefire violations in the ATO zone yesterday, all in Donetsk sector; Luhansk sector was peaceful. “Ukrainian troops did not return fire,” reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.

In Donetsk sector, Russian proxies delivered six precision attacks. “At night, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka with machine guns and small arms. In the afternoon, they delivered a complex attack near Verkhniotoretske using 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms,” Colonel Motuzyanyk elaborated. In the evening, Russia-backed militants attacked Ukrainian positions near Hnutove with 82-mm mortars, APCs, and small arms. The attack continued for one hour. After 18:00 and till the late evening Russian proxies attacked Ukrainian troops near Vodiane, using grenade launchers and small arms.

Unfortunately, two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in Avdiivka and Vodiane areas yesterday.
