Miners of the Donetsk region stopped work, starting an all-out strike in protest against Ukrainian authorities. Miners are demanding an end to the “anti-terrorist operation” (ATO) in the region, which they dubbed a counterinsurgency operation. The head of the Independent Miners’ Trade Union of the Donbass Mykola Volynko says miners were forced to protest, because separatists had been threatening to blow up mines.
