According to his words, terrorists do not hide there are many Russians among them and they would have “met a lot of difficulties” without their help. “There are 1,200 individuals who have gone through training over a four-month period on the territory of the Russian Federation and who have been introduced here at the most decisive moment,” said Zakharchenko. The campaign for early parliamentary elections in Ukraine will start on Thursday, August 28. The elections will be held on October 26. In compliance with applicable laws parliamentary elections are held under proportional-majority electoral system: 225 deputies are elected under lists of political forces; other 225 deputies – from majority constituencies. Ukraine used to have 225 deputies from the constituencies, but since Crimea and Sevastopol had as many as 12, the figure has been changed. Crimea’s residents could vote on Ukraine’s continent. Refugees from the peninsula and Donbas could vote following their current places of residence. CEC hopes the current parliament will come to the decision how locals in ATO zone will be voting. May be borders of election districts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions need to be changed to enable people to vote safely.
