This year has been full of arbitrary arrests and detention of thousands of protesters, repressions against independent media and NGOs, hijacking of Ryanair civil aircraft to detain dissident journalist Protasevich and his girlfriend, and, among the latest incidents – an attempted kidnapping of Belarusian athlete Krystsina Tsimanouskaya.
