In the special series “More than just cities. The Code of Resilience,” the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center continues to reveal the true essence of Ukrainian cities, each of which has its own character, history, and unique expression of resilience. The second episode is dedicated to Vinnytsia — a city where deep historical roots are combined with an active role in Ukraine’s modern struggle for independence.
Vinnytsia is not only about the past, but also about action here and now. It is here that some of the first rehabilitation centers for soldiers were established, a strong volunteer movement has formed, and hundreds of people every day support the Armed Forces of Ukraine: from weaving camouflage nets to providing systematic assistance to the front line. A special symbol is the initiative “Faina Zdybinka” — a charity fair that unites the community and foundations to raise funds for Ukrainian defenders.
This is a city of people who do not stand aside. Today, Vinnytsia is an example of proactivity, unity, and responsibility, where everyone contributes to a shared victory. It is in this daily action, support, and sense of care that its true code of resilience is revealed.
