As a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 20 civilians were killed, including one child.

Last night, the Russians fired on 25 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, destroyed and damaged 42 houses, a school, one higher education institution, one hotel and 6 industrial enterprises and factories.
The enemy uses military aircraft, multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, launches missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and peaceful residential areas.
Luhansk region
In particular, according to Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, yesterday the Russian invaders launched artillery strikes on Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. They shelled the houses and buildings of the local research and production association.
At least 10 people were killed in the shelling of Severodonetsk.
Donetsk region
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on May 16, the Russians killed 9 civilians in Donetsk region: 3 in Lyman, 2 in Avdiivka, 1 in Marinka, Klinov, Drobyshev, and Katerynivka. Another 6 people were injured.
Also was specified the information concerning one wounded in Stara Mykolaivka.
In addition, in Bakhmut medical care was provided to 2 civilians wounded in Luhansk region.
The exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha cannot be determined.
On the morning of May 16, the Russians shelled Druzhkivka, as a result of which the city school №6 suffered the most damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
This school is one of the largest and most modern in the community: 650 pupils studied here before the large-scale invasion. Three years ago, a major overhaul with thermal modernization was completed here.
