Amid the growth of Western weapon supplies to Ukraine, Russian propaganda spreads multiple fakes about:
- arm-smuggling in Ukraine;
- Russian army seizing Western weapons and using them for their own needs;
- Ukrainian military deliberately selling these weapons to Russia.
In particular, Russian disinformation agents widely exploited the notorious article by the Financial Times about “Ukraine weapons smuggling” based on anonymous sources.
Such fake news is without any evidence base, aiming to sow distrust in the work of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and undermine the Western partners’ trust in the Ukrainian government.
Do not aid Russian propaganda: use only verified and knowledgeable sources to stay updated about the Russian war against Ukraine!
