This homophobic remark from Olga Skabeeva – co-host of Russian propagandist “60 minutes” – shows the consequences of Putin’s amendments to Russian Constitution that human rights activists warned about.
Interestingly enough, before the so-called vote on the amendments Kremlin rhetoric was: “we need to include these particular ones [on God and family consisting of man and woman], because Russia is a country with traditional values”.
Now these “traditional values” are defended through the fact they are part of the Constitution, which altogether creates an ouroboros of violating human rights in Russia.
