Rescue of animals from Borodyanka shelter and Yasnogorodka farm

The war that Russia has unleashed on our land is a great crime. A crime against humanity, a crime against freedom, a crime against all living things. UAnimals, together with like-minded people, is fighting the consequences of the invaders’ atrocities and continues to save the lives of animals.

Let’s begin the report on status with the main news of the day. Volunteers finally managed to get to the shelter in Borodyanka! From the very beginning of war, the animals were abandoned, without food or water. Due to the occupation, it was extremely difficult to get there and UAnimals set a reward of 50,000 hryvnias for those who can get to the animals. This day has come! Immediately after the authorities announced the liberation of the region from the occupiers, Kyiv volunteers were able to reach Borodyanka.

Unfortunately, most of the animals died, and of the 485 residents of the shelter, only 150 survived. The animals are exhausted and in serious condition. 27 of them were taken to the clinic by volunteers today, the rest of the animals are also cared for by activists and veterinarians. UAnimals transferred the promised money to help rescued animals. We are grateful to all the volunteers involved in this rescue operation.

Also today, the UAnimals team together with partners continued the evacuation of the Yasnogorodka farm. At the moment, in addition to ostriches, all the animals that found refuge in the “Wildlife Shelter” have been taken out.

Today, our team sent a new consignment of 5.4 tons of food from its warehouse in Lviv to Zaporizhia and a consignment of 5.5 tons from Lviv to Kyiv. We also sent humanitarian aid to the liberated territories of Kyiv region.

Humanitarian aid was once again distributed in Kyiv, this time to Obolon. 70 bags of dog food were distributed.

We are not only helping pets, so today we provided financial assistance to the Bolivar Stables and transferred funds to the Grand Cyprus, which rescues horses during war. The Save Fox shelter in Dnipro also received financial assistance from UAnimals to help wild animals. During this day, we provided assistance to 22 shelters and organizations in the amount of UAH 216,000.

Protecting the weak is up to the strong. Everyone who joins the salvation of our country is a human with a capital letter. We are proud of each and every one of you and believe that victory is just around the corner.
