Russia has committed 148 crimes against journalists and the media in Ukraine during the month of the war
Five journalists were killed while performing their professional duties, seven were injured, and one journalist went missing. At least six cases of Russian hostage-taking and inhuman treatment of journalists have been reported.
The invaders fired at 10 TV towers – civilian objects, which led to the complete or temporary disappearance of television and radio broadcasting in eight regions of Ukraine.
In addition, at least 70 regional media were forced to stop working, as a result of threats, the seizure of editorial offices, the inability to work under conditions of temporary occupation, and the lack of opportunities for printing and distribution, performed by Russian military forces.
